In your Jan. 21 issue, Gene Robke commented that a small number of people seem to dominate the letters page. I have four comments:
1) He called these writers conservatives. I happen to know one of the gentlemen he mentioned and he is no conservative. He is a big liberal and loves the current administration.
2) He obviously overlooked/missed the letters from Bill Malec, a prolific contributor to the BND and the O’Fallon Progress.
3) He should go back and reread the letters, as the person I referred to blames President Bush for nearly everything.
Never miss a local story.
4) I agree with him that too few writers submit too many letters, but that is not the paper’s fault.
