“If stupidity got us into this mess, then why can’t it get us out?” Will Rogers.
Please forgive my inability to express dire pronouncements purporting imminent collapse of the world as we know it. I just can’t compete with the regular contributors. I have long held the opinion that our electorate is always correct in their choices of governance, even if it goes contrary to my preference. I also believe, in today’s rancorous political climate, the moderate middle/independents decide elections and their choices are more governed by voting the lesser of the distasteful evils than any positive attribute.
Premise considered, I offer the following in support of my hypothesis: Sarah Palin. Her recent re-emergence into the current political fray and her incomprehensible babbling convinces me the electorate made the right choice in 2008. I hold Sen. John McCain in high regard, however, Sarah Palin being one heartbeat away from the reigns of power lost the honorable senator an election. She alone has proven the electorate’s choice correct. But I have to admit, I laugh uncontrollably at her disjointed monologues Don’t ever change, Sarah.
