I subscribe to Congressman Mike Bost’s Newsletter. Recently he made the following statement, “Planned Parenthood’s business of selling fetal body parts is an example of these practices.” He chimed that statement after Carly Florina claimed she saw a video of Planned Parenthood talking to “prospective buyers” of fetal baby parts. Her statement was debunked many times and the video she claimed as Planned Parenthood, was not.
So, I wrote Mr. Bost to ask him to tell the truth concerning his statement. His reply was bizarre, he did not mention that he was wrong, instead he mentioned that he was a father and grandfather who didn’t think it was constructive to talk about unplanned pregnancies in a way that was hurtful to a couple facing an unwanted pregnancy. Well what is a constructive way or when should you have that talk? Maybe that’s what Planned Parenthood does, along with other services. I would like Mr. Bost to correct his statement about Planned Parenthood.
Recently, a Texas Grand Jury indicted two persons from an anti-abortion group. Both altered the video in question to falsify the sale of the fetal parts by Planned Parenthood. My letter does not suggest that abortions are the only way to deal with unplanned pregnancies. As a man, I support the right of all women to make the right choice for them. My letter simply asks Mr. Bost to tell the truth.
