Good morning America! What are we offended by today? The few remaining greatest generation folks know what the meaning of the words duty, honor, country, sacrifice, service and loyalty are. And, to a great extent, I would include the baby boomers also.
In 1944: 18– to 20-year olds stormed enemy beaches, parachuted behind enemy lines, and charged into battles with almost certain death awaiting them.
In the 1960s: 18- to 20-year-olds were sent to a hellhole called Vietnam and, on average, spent more time in actual combat than their World War II contemporaries. Then they came home to a hostile nation who spat on them and vilified them for doing their duty.
In 2016: 18– to 20-year-olds need “safe zones” on college campuses to protect their fragile emotions from “offensive words.” Wussification Syndrome: “An increasingly common, self induced delusional illness resulting from progressivism.”
“The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
And these same fools are going to vote for his “sister from another mister” next fall, just so we can have a woman in the White House. Tragic.
