I see the university system is very worried about getting the proper funding to keep their operations running due to the financial malpractice of the Democrat Party who run everything in the state of Illinois. As reported in a Belleville News-Democrat article, retiring Southern Illinois University Edwardsville professors can obtain pensions of $100K-$200K. Boy, did I make a mistake in career choices. The professors at SIUE are indignant about the possibility their pension system may belly up and they will be unable to receive the meager living and pensions they were promised by our astute Democrat politicians. Keep in mind that the general survey shows 90 percent of university instructors align with the Democrat Party.
Diversity the university is not. One SIUE English professor, Charles Berger, was concerned about the financial shortfall in meeting the faculty’s needs stating, “We are the guardians of the quality of education here.” A question to Mr. Berger: What are the results of your guardianship of the quality of education at SIUE, much less any other university? If you’re the guardians, then you’ve been asleep at the gate or your admission standards have dropped in order to keep the money flowing. After all, it’s really just a business to keep you comfortable and funded by the taxpayers, of which you and your guardians have been held unaccountable for years.
If you were an actual business, I would not invest in your stock. Of your plight I have no sympathy.
