I am a very conservative American of predominantly German ancestry and I approve wholeheartedly the change of the face of the $20 bill. Harriet Tubman is a good choice. My great, great, great grandfather left Kentucky over the issue of keeping the USA whole. My great, great, great uncle Sanford Sigler was in a Kentucky regiment that was on the Union side.
I do believe that slavery in this country would have eventually ended. It was the only option to continue forward as a civilized society.
The removal of Andrew Jackson was inevitable. He was a racist of the first order. He had slaves and worked hard to eradicate the American Indians in the southeast United States.
The residue of slavery and the incidence of racism is related to the subjugation of a whole race of people. On the other hand, there is racism that goes both ways. We must pray to God as a nation and as individuals to erase this scourge from our land. Only then will all of us be ultimately free. “Free at last, thank God, we are free at last!” God bless this country and all of it inhabitants.
Never miss a local story.
A vote for Hillary will be a vote to continue the enslavement of the African American through government policies. A vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary.
