With so many people in need of help in our state and so little funding to provide needed services, now is the time for all good citizens to come to the aid of our state.
There are numerous churches and people of faith in our cities. I encourage everyone to do whatever they can to help. There are numerous not-for-profit social agencies who would welcome volunteers as they reach out to provide services to our elderly, disabled and youth at risk.
Instead of depending on “someone else” or the state, please do what you can to step up to the plate and reach out with empathy and compassion to those who are hurting.
Help spread some happiness through our state and volunteer in any way possible and we will get through these trying times.
Never miss a local story.
