Trump is right
To all you Donald Trump critics, and his so called misstatements about rapist and convicts, read the article about immigration roundup that took place locally. Amazingly 28 out of 34 were convicted felons, locally. The next time anybody wants to get on Trump’s case, and his outspoken criticism about them being convicts so to speak, look at this report. Trump is right. The immigrants are nothing but trouble, trash and bottom of the barrel.
I received State Rep. Jay Hoffman’s advertisement in the mail on his 2016 senior update. What a crock! Quit your politicking and posing in the pictures. The staged pictures are stupid. You say our state is facing challenging times, some extreme politicians wrongly believe the solution. Who are these extreme politicians? It isn’t Gov. Rauner, he wants a balanced budget. And you, Mr. Hoffman, voted for an unbalanced budget. How is that helping seniors? We are paying more taxes because of your stupid law making!
Tell Ameren to go
In response to a letter to the editor by Pat Mitchell of Caseyville, Ameren’s butchering of his/her trees, I’d like to offer some suggestions. Ameren’s utility lines are placed on a public right away, such as a road way, or placed on an easement, 10 or 20 feet wide. Anything within that easement, Ameren is able to maintain to upkeep their distributions systems. However when trees are off that easement, Ameren has no legal authority to do any trimming of trees outside that easement. Therefore, property owners, with trees located on their property outside an easement, my suggestion is to tell Ameren, to get off your property and they should file suit for damaging your property. And I would suggest that to the Mitchell’s. It may be time to get an attorney involved. Put the lines underground! Ameren can do a survey, with a licensed surveyor. They have no right to cut trees hanging over an easement either.
Give him a raise
Maybe McKendree University needs to give their poor president a pay raise, doesn’t look like by what I’m reading he may not be able to afford to buy plates for the car, must be tough making payments on the Mercedes, on his salary!
Blah, blah, blah
So Illinois is slow to release information about the upcoming rate increases for the wonderful Obama universal health plan jokingly called affordable healthcare! With all those promises you don’t have to change doctors, it’s affordable for everyone, blah, blah, blah, blah! Want four more years of these lies shoved down your throat, vote for Hillary you’ll get a load of it!
What is going on at the Brewhaus site at the Shrine, no work going on as of late. And don’t tell me they are waiting on materials. Lots of work to be done, sewer lines, water lines, new road ways for the hotels, if there are going to be hotels. Tired of seeing my TIF’s double, do away with this Mr. Mayor and Mr. Kern! You are fleecing us taxpayers!
Build the wall
I can see some merit putting white collar crime in jail, but letting them off with a slap on the hand, doesn’t do anybody any good, it doesn’t serve the public not to punish these people. Community Service is a good alternative, make it a yearlong service project. Paint the curbs, but that seems to be a problem with the unions. I’m tired of the unions not doing their jobs, collecting pensions. And then these criminals running around not paying their restitution to society. Let’s ship the criminals down to Mexico and have them build the wall.
I remember when Chicago Mayor Chicago Rahm Emanuel was advisor to Obama, he made a statement, and said “never let a catastrophe go by without taking advantage of it politically.” I was looking at commentaries about the mass murders from American Muslims, I would think that the Orlando massacre is a catastrophe. We see the ultraliberals, Obama especially wants to get rid of the second amendment. Yes, he is following Emanuel’s instructions, taking advantage of a catastrophe politically
Good and bad
I find it interesting what journalists are writing about telling us how Donald Trump would be a bad president. These are the same people that told us Barack Obama would be a good president.
I attended the Y.E.A.H. festival in Fairview Heights. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Outstanding lineup of talent. Met tons of new friends, thank you Fairview for sponsoring this festival and I hope they do another one next year. Congratulations to everyone involved in setting up the program, a good time was had by all.
With all the corruption and waste of money going on in the State of Illinois your crack investigators are able to find people who have municipal license plates, what a big deal. The investigation will cost more than the difference in money and for that matter, I would hardly call a 13-year-old car a luxury car that’s worth less than $2,500 wholesale.
Torn up in Swansea
I live in Belleville, but the Village of Swansea should be ashamed of themselves, the roads were torn up six to eight months ago to put new water pipes in, and they are still torn up, down Caseyville Avenue. They should be reprimanded. Fill the potholes with rock or do something. I about tore out my truck suspension.
Be fair to Muslims
I’d like to comment about the feelings about Muslims. I’m sick and tired of decent people being held responsible for actions they didn’t commit, done by people they don’t know, usually in places they have never been to. I have several Muslim neighbors and friends and they couldn’t be nicer. I think the attitude of Trump is deplorable. And the thought that he could be our next president makes me cringe.
A lot of people say they get annoyed when they go to a nice wedding reception and occasionally it’s a cash bar. When you spend $75 or $100 on a gift, I don’t know if I want to go to the bar and spend another $12 for two drinks.
Practice what you preach
To all the do-gooders who are violently opposed to abortion and propose adoption as an alternative. I ask you, how many adopted children do you have? Isn’t it about time you practice what you preach?
East St. Louis mayor
We have an East St. Louis mayor that wants to clean up East St. Louis businesses and do things right? That is amazing. Nobody down there obeys the law, I hope she is successful and can take these people on, and implement her good ideas. If you want to have growth and succeed down there, you are going to have to obey laws, follow rules, and do the right thing. I know it’s difficult, because it hasn’t been done down there forever, I’m glad to see it happening now.
I would like to know when Kern and Eckert’s rat maze on North Illinois is going to be done. This ridiculous construction to glorify his ego has gone on long enough. The citizens of Belleville need to put their foot down and say enough is enough.
