By the time the Constitution was penned the colonists had already gained independence. Our founders were never to relinquish that freedom to another power, and took steps to to make sure of it.
They feared in the future some group would decide that they had a better idea at how the country should be run, and try to impose its ideas on everybody else by legislation or force.
Our Constitution was written in such a way to make this grab, almost impossible to successfully remove American liberties.
Today the forces threatening our children are much sneakier than direct attempts to usurp power. We’re not facing a king, or are we by executive order?
Today our children’s freedoms are threatened by debt. The founders knew from Proverbs 22:7 “The borrower is servant to the lender.”
Jefferson recognized this truth when he said, “That it is immoral to pass debt to the next generation.” It will make them servants to the powers that our nation owes. Study your candidates carefully, for the sake of grandchildren and great grandchildren, please, from county, city, up to president.
