ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger was able to do some light throwing on Monday.

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said the veteran quarterback would be considered as questionable for the team's game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

"I guess if I was going to list it, I would say questionable only because he was able to throw lightly," Spagnuolo said. "That's a long way away from a week ago when he couldn't really throw at all. That's a tough call. We have a whole another day tomorrow, and I think we'll rest it and see what he can do Wednesday."

Spagnuolo said Bulger, who has a bruised rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder, didn't make any long throws.

"He didn't throw it very far," Spagnuolo said. "He was just trying to oil it up to get it going."

Bulger served as the emergency third-string quarterback in the Rams' 35-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Spagnuolo said Bulger did some light tossing during pregame warmups.

Spagnuolo said the Rams needed to know if Bulger was called upon, he could at least dump off a short pass to the fullback.

"We needed to know that going in, in case we had that situation," Spagnuolo said. "Thank God we didn't."

Safety Craig Dahl sustained a concussion in the loss to the 49ers.

Dahl's status for the Vikings will depend on whether he passes his neuropsych test on Tuesday.

Spagnuolo said cornerback Ron Bartell (thigh) and right tackle Jason Smith (knee) are day-to-day.

"We hope to get him back, but we don't know that (for sure) right now," Spagnuolo said. "We'll know a little more on Wednesday."

Safety James Butler, who has a tear to the MCL in his knee, is "very doubtful" for the Vikings, Spagnuolo said.

Left guard Jacob Bell was treated for muscle spasms in his lower back.

Spagnuolo said it was leg cramps that caused wide receiver-return specialist Danny Amendola to briefly exit the Rams' game against the 49ers.
