Nashville, Illinois, High School Hornettes girls golfer Rachael Kell is the Belleville News-Democrat high school girls golfer co-player of the year with teammate Hope Rueter after leading Nashville Community High School to a second place finish at the Illinois High School Association girls golf tournament at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur, Illinois.

This Hornette saved her best golf for the postseason

Nashville, Illinois High School junior golfer Hope Rueter, daughter of former Major League Baseball pitcher Kirk Rueter, turned an up-and-down regular season into a spectacular postseason which concluded with a tie for 22nd at the Illinois High School Association Class A Girls Golf Tournament. She also helped the Nashville Hornettes to a second place finish in the team IHSA competition at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur, Illinois.
