Klein notches third win of season at Belle-Clair

Daryn Klein posted his third feature win of the year last Friday as he took the checkered flag in the UMP Late Model feature race at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville.

After an incident on lap 7 forced Mike Hammerle to the back of the back on a restart, he battled back to finish third. Steve Lach was second.

Rusty Griffaw held off all challengers to win the UMP Modified feature, followed by James Eden and Dean Hoffman.

Andy Marlow won the Pure Stocks feature and Ryan Hamilton won the Kidz Modz main event.

Friday night is Kettler & Sons Flatwork Specialists Night at Belle-Clair with many great giveaways.

Highland Speedway

Local favorite Michael Kloos won the UMP Late Model feature last Saturday at Highland Speedway. Mike Schulte was second and Jason Zobrist was third.

Steve Ellison won the UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMod feature and Stephen Fohne won the UMP Hamel Coop Street Stock feature.

Tyler Deibert won the Madison County Fair UMP Modifieds feature race last Wednesday and Kyle Schuett won the Daum Outlaw Insurance Micros feature.

Leaps of Love Night at the Races returns to Highland Speedway on Saturday, highlighted by a $1,500 to win UMP Late Model main event.

Tri-City Speedway

Rico Abreu won the 410 Winged Sprints feature race during Tri-City Speedways Thursday Thunder night last week. Danny Lasoski was second and A.J. Bruns was third.

St. Jacob's Tim Manville captured the UMP Late Model feature last Thursday ahead of Highland's Randy Korte. Trenton's Michael Kloos finished third.

Brian Wolfmeier won the Vintage Cars feature.

In Friday's main events at Tri-City, Alton driver Tommie Seets Jr. took first place in the UMP Modifieds feature and Bobby Regot won the UMP Pro Crate Late Models feature.

Highland's Ryan Eilers won the B Modifieds feature and Brighton's Jacob Rexing won in Street Stocks/UMP Factory Stocks. Highland driver Rob Shaw won the Factory Stock-4-cylinder/UMP Sport Compacts feature race.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway

The World of Outlaws winged sprint cars are headed to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., this weekend for Friday and Saturday night racing events.

In addition, the UMP Sportsmen will run Friday while the UMP Modifieds will accompany the Sprint cars Saturday for the popular Ironman 55 main event. Saturday's feature event will pay $20,000 to the winner.

On Friday, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will run for $8,000 to win. Saturday's main event pays $20,000 to the World of Outlaws winner with the Modifieds running for $1,000.

Ticket prices are $35 for reserved seats on Friday and $39 on Saturday. General admission tickets are $32 on Friday and $35 on Saturday.

Last Saturday at Federated, Tim Manville claimed his third feature win this season in the UMP Late Model division.

In the 20-lap UMP Modified feature, Ray Walsh nailed down his first win this season.
