Grizzlies-Crushers game gets suspended

The Gateway Grizzlies and Lake Erie Crushers had their series opener Tuesday night suspended due to rain at All Pro Freight Stadium.

The game will resume Wednesday as part of a doubleheader with game one beginning at 4 p.m.

The game is currently tied 2-2 in the top of the third inning with two outs. Landon Hernandez is on first base after his one-out single and Ben Waldrip will be the batter when play resumes Wednesday.

Gateway scored two runs on a TJ Bennett double in the first inning and Emmanuel Quiles hit a two-run double with two outs in the second inning for Lake Erie.

Game one will be a nine-inning game Wednesday while the second game will be a seven-inning game.
