Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards is inactive for Sunday's game against Houston due to lingering effects from a concussion suffered in a Week 6 victory over the Jets.

The injury opens the door for backup Ryan Fitzpatrick to start against the Texans.

For the season, Edwards is 91-of-153 passing for 985 yards with five touchdowns and six interceptions.

Also inactive for the Bills on Sunday are tackle Jonathan Scott, tight end Shawn Nelson, defensive tackle Kyle Williams, safety Donte Whitner and fullback Corey McIntyre.
