Althoff boys soccer defeated Wesclin 7-0 to claim the Class 1A Greenville Regional championship Friday.
Mitchell Kidd lead the Crusaders with two goals, while Dillon Birdsong, Christian Garcia, Tyler Stone, Riley Sullivan and Mason Wagner each scored as well. There were five assists tallied from Garcia, Stone, Wagner, John Lewis, and Monken, respectively.
Stone Galloway and Ethan Haege split the victory for Althoff, playing 40 minutes each. Haege was the only one to credit a save in the game. Haege improves to 7-6-2 overall, and Galloway picks up his first win (1-0).
The Crusaders (10-10-3) will face either Mater Dei or Freeburg, who play in the Harrisburg Regional final Saturday, in the Freeburg sectional semifinal Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

In the Class 1A Marquette Regional, Alton Marquette defeated Father McGivney 4-1 for the championship title. The Explorers (12-6-3) also advanced to the Freeburg sectional.
The winners of the sectional semifinals will go on to play each other for the sectional championship at 5 p.m. Oct. 20.
