Ludwick homers in first rehab at bat

Cardinals outfielder Ryan Ludwick has homered in his first rehab assignment at bat Tuesday for Class AAA Memphis. The shot, in the first inning, put the Redbirds ahead 2-0 over the Omaha Royals. Ludwick's former Cardinals teammate Rick Ankiel is also playing on the game. Ankiel is playing centerfield in a rehab assignment for Omaha.
