Former Cardinals pitcher Mark Mulder could be on the radar of the Angels as they look for a permanent replacement for Nick Adenhart, who was killed in a car accident earlier this season.
The Angels have called Mulder's agent, who also represents free agent starter Pedro Martinez, to open the lines of communication, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Mulder's people have indicated that he may be ready to throw in a try out session in less than two weeks. But he would probably have to go on a rehab assignment before he would be ready to pitch in game action.
Reportedly, Martinez has scared off potential suitors with his demands for a $5 million guaranteed contract.
