Blue Jays trying to get rid of Colby Rasmus

Looking at the Cards from a fan's perspective

The Toronto Blue Jays are actively trying to trade former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Colby Rasmus.

According the the Toronto Sun, the enigma among enigmas has been offered two at least two teams in exchange for pitching. Apparently the answer to the Jays overtures was no.

Rasmus, who was dealt by St. Louis in 2011 in exchange for a grab bag of players who helped the Cardinals to their 11th World Series championship, hit .276 with 22 homers in 2013. But he struck out 135 times in only 417 at-bats and perplexed his coaches with his public statements about how he just wanted to be left alone and not told how to hit or stuff like that all the time.

I guess advertising the fact that you're uncoachable and unmotivated wasn't exactly the smartest thing Rasmus has ever done because it was a pretty good bet that he was going to be looking for a new job sooner or later.
