Ed Dixon took top honors in the UMP Late Model division on Friday night at Belle-Clair Speedway for the 613th feature victory of his career.
Aaron Kleine followed Dixon across the line in second. They were followed by Mike Hammerle, Josh Beack and Mike Schulte.
In the UMP Modifieds, Rusty Griffaw won his first feature at Belle Clair. He was followed by Chris Smith, Lenny Bryant, Tim Hancock and Brett Korves.
In the UMP Sportsmen class, Jimmy Cummins won his fifth straight feature and seventh of the year. He was followed by Wade Sutter, Mark Schaefer, John Schrand and Mike Jones.
The race program tonight includes UMP Late Models, Modified, Sportsman and Pure Stocks.
Highland Speedway
In the UMP Late Model division at the Madison County Fair, Randy Korte held off all challenges and won the $3,000 first prize. Kevin Weaver followed Korte while Chad Zobrist got by Jason Feger for third. Tim Manville rounded out the top five.
In the UMP Modified class, Dean Hoffman took the win and the $700 back to Troy with Tim Hancock, Chad Sellers, Robbie Eilers and Jeff Werner completing the top five.
There is no racing Saturday. Racing will resume Aug. 1.
I-55 Raceway
In the UMP Late Models, Randy Korte won the $5,000 and was followed by Billy Moyer, Dennis Erb, Brian Shirley and Mark Voigt.In the 38 Modifieds, Ken Schrader took the lead somewhere around lap 10 and never looked back. He was followed by Conrad Miner, Matt Mevett, Tim Hancock and Scott Weber.
With Highland Speedway taking this week off, the Sportsmen and Pro4 classes will be running under different rules at I-55, giving the Highland drivers a chance to run at Pevely, Mo. track.
