Rock Supergroup, Which Never Hit No. 1, Announces Exciting Update Amid Tour
The Black Queen, the electronic rock supergroup, knows how to keep the excitement going, teasing fans with a special announcement during its tour.
The "Secret Scream" hitmaker revealed an expansion of the Fever Daydream Tour with "another round" of performances.
In an Instagram update, the supergroup fronted by Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan hinted at adding more dates to the September and October shows, covering major cities across North America.
"Really amazing to see all of you. Hard to articulate. It's a special time for this band right now, and each of you we see is playing a part in that. Every one of these shows has been a trip, and every one of them has gone by too fast. This whole thing has gone by too fast. We wish there were more. But no need to wish, because the good thing is there ARE gonna be more. We announce another round of Sept/Oct North American dates on the 16th," the caption reads.
The Fever Daydream Tour was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band's debut album, Fever Daydream.
The tour, which kicked off on May 8 in Portland and concluded on June 6 in Texas, marked The Black Queen's return to the stage after a seven-year hiatus.
"As anyone into THE BLACK QUEEN knows, we've been dormant for a minute," the frontman previously mentioned following the tour announcement. "A lot of things ended up on the front burner and suddenly seven years had gone by, and 10 years since Fever Daydream's release. Fever Daydream was really special and we know it meant a lot to fans as well. So we figured let's get some grease on us and get some of that mojo back before releasing our third album. Maybe we'll toss some new songs in as well. See you soon."
On the other hand, The Black Queen's recent announcement wasn't just an indication that the band plans to expand its tour, as it also teased potential performances in the U.K. and Australia.
Fans will once again experience the songs that helped define the band's legacy, from the breakout single "The End Where We Start" to fan favorite "That Death Cannot Touch."
While the group, composed of Puciato, Steven Alexander Ryan, former Nine Inch Nails member Danny Lohner and ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Chris Pennie, never landed a No. 1 hit, its influence and devoted following have kept its music alive for years.
