Fourth of July revelers can have an extra blast this year when Fair St. Louis offers a holiday edition of The Sauce Cafe for the first time.
The Sauce Cafe offers tablecloth dining on the Mississippi River levee on Saturday nights during Fair St. Louis and the Live on the Levee concert series. On July 4, fairgoers can treat themselves to a three-course barbecue dinner from Highway 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen.
Other restaurants featured this summer will be LoRusso's Cucina on July 18 for the Little Feat concert, Mike Shannon's Steaks and Seafood on July 25 for Gretchen Wilson; and Skybox Sports Bar and Grill on Aug. 1 for the hip-hop sounds of Lupe

The Sauce Cafe offers seatings at 6 and 8 p.m. The cost is $30 per person, not including beverage, tax and tip. Reservations, which are strongly recommended, can be made at www.celebratestlouis.org.
Sister Josine Mondloch, a member of the Board of Directors at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, was among those honored during a recent Springfield Good as Gold Ceremony, a volunteer recognition event sponsored by the Junior League of Springfield and the University of Illinois at Springfield.
She is a Hospital Sister of st. Francis, the congregation which sponsors Hospital Sisters Health System and the 13 HSHS hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin, including St. Joseph's in Breese.
She was one of 40 volunteers who received "Heart of Gold" awards. She was recognized for her efforts with Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach.
