Bohdan (Ted) and Margaret Stefanowycz of Fairview Heights will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on Sunday, August 3rd with a family reunion at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, Missouri.
Bohdan and the former Margaret Meyer were married on August 22nd, 1964 at Saint Mary’s Assumption Church in St. Louis, Missouri by Father Benyo.
Bohdan retired in July 1994 from Union Pacific Railroad after working in a variety of positions. Having started with Missouri Pacific, he worked for over 40 years and saw MoPac merge with Union Pacific. He and Margaret were able to travel to meet his customers in the salt industry in both Kansas and Utah.
Margaret also retired in July 1994 after spending her career as a beautician. She began her career working for others but by retirement, she was the proud owner of The Magic Comb, a “beauty shop” as they were called. One of her customers suggested the name because of Margaret’s skill in doing hair.
