John “Jack” and Anna Marie Crowe of Freeburg, IL celebrated their 60th anniversary by taking their children on a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado. They are having a celebratory Mass on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Freeburg, IL. Their children are hosting an open house following mass at St. Joseph’s Parish Center from 11:30 until 2 p.m.
Jack and the former Anna Marie Klein were married on November 24, 1954 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn, IL by Reverend Edmund Sense.
Jack is retired from Consolidation Coal Company in Pinckneyville, IL and the former owner of Jack’s Auto Washette for 43 years. He is a member of the Freeburg Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph’s Men’s Club.
Anna Marie is active with Mascoutah Garden Club, Freeburg Women’s Club, and St. Joseph’s Quilters.
They have six children: Diane (Terry Boyne) Krauss, Gene Crowe and Mike Crowe all of Freeburg; Donna (Al) Lamere of O’Fallon, IL; John (Amy) Crowe of Red Bud, IL; and Debbie (Mike) Joseph of Smithton, IL.
They have 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
