ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, FEB. 26
Darran J. McCloud Jr., 18, of 602 St. John Drive, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of murder and first degree murder on or about Feb. 20 by Illinois State Police. McCloud allegedly, with the intent to kill or do great bodily harm to Frederick Purnell, knowing shot Purnell about the head with a gun, thereby causing his death; while committing or attempting to commit a forcible felony, to wit: armed robbery, knowingly discharged a firearm in the direction of Frederick Purnell, thereby causing the his death.
Dennis L. Tucker, 50, of 431 Carroll Lane, Glen Carbon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence on or about Jan. 15 by Caseyville police. Tucker allegedly, drive a black 2002 Chevrolet Silverado on Interstate 64 in Caseyville, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol. The defendant had been previously convicted of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor on March 14, 1992, and driving under the influence on June 9, 2002.
William L. Harper, 27, of St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about Feb. 25 by Belleville police. Harper allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 2608 Greenmount Commons, Belleville, being assorted DVDs, total retail value in excess of $300.
Taneka L. Price, 32, of 1748 N. 60th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Feb. 25 by Belleville police. Price allegedly, took merchandise from K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaze, Belleville, being shirts, shoes, deodorant and other merchandise, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convictged of theft under $300 on May 19, 2010.
Harvey A. Jones, 27, of 5731 Portland, Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of three counts of aggravated battery on or about Jan. 31 by St. Clair County sheriff. Jones allegedly, in committing a battery, and while Harvey Jones was at Black Lane and Cole Street, Collinsville, a public street, knowingly made physical contact with Dina Jones, a family/household member, in that said defendant slapped Dina Jones on the side of the face with an open hand; slapped her on the back of the head with an open hand; pushed her to the ground.

John W. Dace, 47, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of probation violation by Probation Department.
Dennis L. Tucker, 50, of Glen Carbon, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence by Caseyville police.
Jeffrey A. Willoughby, 49, of Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft by Cahokia police.
