What qualifies you for this position?
“I feel qualified to continue as Ward 2 alderman because of my demonstrated record and commitment to community service that does include 12 years of personal and professional dedication to the citizens and our city as an alderman. I have extensive experience in business, education and working cooperatively with people in all walks of life. Examples include serving on local, state and national boards in representation of our city. I have been a member of both the O’Fallon District 90 and 203 school boards and taught junior achievement for 20 years at St. Clare School. I have consistently worked with Rotary Foreign Exchange Student programs as well as local youth of all ages as owner of the Ball Park Sports Center.”
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
“The most significant challenges for O’Fallon are remediation of the water and storm water systems; upgrading streets and roads, especially in the presidential streets area; more parking for the downtown commercial businesses, extending street connections for better traffic flow; and continuing to attract new businesses to help with our tax base in accordance with our strategic plan. Also, I believe that we must remain committed to the officer/citizen ratio that keeps our city one of the safest in the metro-east. While these important issues have to be addressed, equally important is the maintenance of a balanced budget.”
