What qualifies you for this position?

“I bring experience in marketing and civic organization and promotion from serving as executive director of the Belleville Main Street organization. I understand the four-point approach to community development involving organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring. There is also an emphasis on retaining what makes towns like Belleville unique by emphasizing maintaining the value of our historic architecture. I’ve worked with the city leadership and with volunteers and I truthfully tell city leadership when they are making a mistake (i.e. tearing down the Meredith Home) and to work hard to help the city get back on course.”

What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?

“Belleville’s neighborhoods, property values and schools are stressed. However, we have charming, historic neighborhoods, fantastic local businesses, a happening entertainment district and great history. We need a plan to capitalize on this and market our city, schools and businesses to tech businesses who appreciate our proximity to St. Louis and SAFB and to young professional families. They city leadership needs to examine what great towns are doing right. With a better plan and vision for Belleville, the city will be better able to clearly communicate with and serve citizens and businesses and to attain our goals of a better Belleville.”
