As a school social worker, I work closely with students, parents, teachers and administrators to ensure the well being of each child as well as the school community at large. I am aware of how all interrelated parts of the school function as a whole. I have had success in achieving results creating a positive environment for everyone. I have been able to offer solutions to problems that have arisen in our district by asking difficult questions to reach the desired outcome.”
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
“As many people are aware, District 12 has been facing a number of difficult financial decisions as a result of inadequate funding from the state. I work for a school district that experienced similar circumstances. I have first-hand knowledge on various ways schools can cut expenditures while maintaining academic excellence. I believe with my knowledge and experience in these areas I can assist District 12 in achieving its goals.”
