What qualifies you for this position?
“The last two years as village clerk has given me firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of the Village of Caseyville. Working with the current village board allowed me to learn how issues are taken care of, processes for the formulation of resolutions and ordinances and learning the Municipal Code and how it is applied in day-to-day village business. This knowledge better prepares me to take on the challenges of village trustee.”
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
“Economic development — we need businesses that create jobs. Jobs bring people. Vacant property clean up — Work with the village board to legally rid the village of these safety hazards. Programs for youth — creating programs that will provide children an opportunity for betterment. Accountability and Fiscal Responsibility —Making the right investment decisions for the short and long term. Proactive vs. reactive governing — creating one, five and 10-year plans that will prepare Caseyville for the challenges it faces day-to-day. Advocate for seniors and champion for veterans — foster a better sense of appreciation for these members of our community.”
