What qualifies you for this position?

“I have been a trustee for eight years and have approached the position with the No. 1 objective to do what is best for the village and residents. I question budgetary and operational actions and expenditures to ascertain that they are in the best interests of Freeburg and that we are spending taxpayers’ money wisely. My belief is, and will continue to be, to apply sound fiscal policies in my decisions. I have utilized my project management, financial and educational background to develop the Village’s Economic Development Plan and 3-5 Year Strategic Plan to identify projects and funding in the budget.”

What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?

“I believe the top issue continues to be the village’s finances. With the continued pressure that the state has placed on budgets, it is even more critical to spend taxpayer dollars wisely and make the correct decisions. I have worked hard to secure roughly $650,000 in grants for sidewalks and IMAP study. These efforts have allowed the village to utilize the budget for other services, without increasing taxes. I will continue to look for grants to add and upgrade infrastructure, add amenities for our residents, develop processes to control costs, and be a voice of reason and fiscal responsibility.”
