DRUG EDUCATION: Dr. John L. Curry will be the facilitator for “Drug Education, A Christian Perspective” and “Grace — To Break the Cycle of Sin/Addiction” in four sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. April 6, 13, 20 and 26 at Conqueror’s Christian Center, 200 E. Washington St. in Belleville. The sessions discuss the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body, to explore alcoholism myths and to examine different types of drinking problems. STUDENT PROGRESS WORKSHOP: Parents are invited to a Student Progress Workshop offered by Family Matters and First Step/Community Link. Presenter Mary Beth Goff will cover extended-school-year eligibility requirements, providing summer activities for kids at home, resources for community support and how to monitor progress year-round.
