Optimist Club of Belleville

The next meeting of the Optimist Club is noon Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Bellecourt Place, 120 N. Jackson St., Belleville. The program will be: “Transplants — The Gift of Life.” The speaker for this meeting is Ed Gulewitz.

L.I.F.T. trip

L.I.F.T., a social club for widows and widowers, will have a club trip at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, beginning at Valhalla Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway W., Belleville. The August meeting of the Dupo Classmates and Friends Lunch Bunch will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Aunt Maggies Restaurant on Main St., Columbia.

76th annual Kuhn reunion

The descendants of Philip Jacob Kuhn and Justina Reitter Kuhn of Wurtenburg, Germany, will have a reunion Sunday, Aug. 27, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 21 N. Walnut, Trenton. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Carol Niemeyer Reigle, a great-granddaughter of the Kuhns, will give the Kuhn Family Blessing. Family members should bring table services, meat and pot-luck dishes, and white elephant items for bingo prizes to the reunion.
