The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will have an open house to celebrate its newly renovated facility. The event will take place from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, and 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 17, at 3718 State St., East St. Louis. A dedication and blessing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.
The renovations include a new Outreach Ministry Center and remodeling of the soup kitchen and pantry, thrift store and warehouse.
Celebration of Abraham Lincoln
The Blessed Savior Lutheran Church will have “Lincoln Fest” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the church, 1205 N. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon. The event will feature Barbara Kay, an award-winning history teacher, who will provide a “living portrait” of Mary Todd Lincoln.
