Major renovations are now complete at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will have an open house to celebrate its newly renovated facility. The event will take place from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, and 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 17, at 3718 State St., East St. Louis. A dedication and blessing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.

The renovations include a new Outreach Ministry Center and remodeling of the soup kitchen and pantry, thrift store and warehouse.

Celebration of Abraham Lincoln

The Blessed Savior Lutheran Church will have “Lincoln Fest” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the church, 1205 N. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon. The event will feature Barbara Kay, an award-winning history teacher, who will provide a “living portrait” of Mary Todd Lincoln. Glen Aubrey, an author from Fort Worth, Texas, will make a presentation based on his book, “Lincoln: The Making of a Leader.” This event is open to the public and free. Information: 618-632-0126.

Healing service in Belleville

Adult forum at St. George Church

The Rev. Canon Dale Coleman will present a four-week series, “Slides from the Holy Land,” starting at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at St. George Episcopal Church, 105 East D. St., Belleville. The program is part of the weekly adult forum at the church and the public is invited.
