Lincoln driver faces DUI charge after crash kills woman
LINCOLN - A Lincoln man has been arrested on a felony DUI charge following a fatal crash Thursday evening, Lincoln police said.
Shaun M. Cook, 38, was the driver of a Lincoln MKX sport utility vehicle in a crash with a Chrysler minivan shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 21 at North Logan and Peoria Street in Lincoln, police said.
A passenger in the minivan, Christine Shaub, 66, was pronounced dead by medical personnel after being transported to Lincoln Memorial Hospital, police said.
Cook was treated by medical personnel at Lincoln Memorial and then at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, police said. He was arrested after being medically cleared and was transported to the Logan County jail.
Cook was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, police said.
Two other occupants in the minivan declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.
