64-year-old woman killed in South Shore hit-and-run
A 64-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said.
According to Chicago police, the victim was a passenger in a dark-colored SUV traveling northbound on South Stony Island Avenue. Around 2:42 a.m., the SUV was struck by a dark-colored sedan.
The driver of the sedan abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, police said. The woman was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
No other injuries were reported and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains active.
