QC Unity Pride Parade canceled for this year, organizers planning 2027 return

QC Pride Inc. has announced that this year's QC Unity Pride Parade, scheduled for June 6, has been canceled.

The organization made the announcement Friday on its Facebook page.

The 2026 Quad Cities Pride Festival will still be held June 5 and 6 at Rock Island's Schwiebert Park.

According to the organization's post, after evaluating sponsor engagement, participation levels and increasing costs associated with hosting a large-scale, multi-jurisdictional event, the organization determined it would not be feasible to hold the parade this year.

The decision was not made lightly, the organization said in its post, "as the annual Unity Pride Parade is important to us and we know it is important to many across the region."

The organization said it will be reaching out to the paid registrants to see if they want a refund or to have their paid fee rolled over to 2027.

Planning will begin for the 2027 Unity Pride Parade.
