Oates Associates, a civil and structural engineering and architectural firm with offices in Collinsville and St. Louis, announced that Daniel Lutz, PE, project manager, has been licensed as a structural engineer in the state of Illinois.

Denise Hangsleben, owner of Travel Your Way, has achieved the Accredited Cruise Counselor designation by Cruise Lines International Association.

Roxann Bohstedt, broker/owner of Your Home Team, attended the annual Star Power Conference in Denver. Also attending was Karen Tebbe, office manager for the team.

McKendree University, in Lebanon, has welcomed the following staff members:

* Dr. Richelle Rennegarbe, of Nashville, has returned to the university as the new nursing division chair and associate professor.

* Lindsey Willett, of O'Fallon, has joined the admissions staff as an admissions counselor.

* Jennifer Krause, of Belleville, has joined as a new member of the graduate education staff.

* Gayle Bryant, of Lebanon, is the new public services librarian in Holman Library.

* Jordan Bierman is the new assistant athletic trainer in the fitness center.

Country Financial representative James Walker, of Red Bud, is celebrating 25 years of serving customers in the Randolph County agency. He has been named an All-American five times.

Amy Drewing, Darren Matchison, EIT, and Meghan Reed, EIT, have joined the St. Louis office of Terracon.

Drewing joins the environmental department as an environmental scientist.

Matchison is a project manager in its geotechnical department.

Reed is a staff environmental engineer in the environmental department.

Victoria Elizabeth Schmidt, RN, BSN, has accepted a position as a registered nurse in the High Risk Cardiac Unit at Barnes Hospital. She is a May 2009 graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Nursing.

Allen Grieve, senior vice president of Correspondent Banking and Commercial Services, has been elected to serve on the Education Committee of the Illinois Bankers Association.

Calvin McCree, RN, has joined the home health team at Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association.The Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois has announced that Dynegy, the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Iron Workers (AFL-CIO) and Poettker Construction have joined as members of the organization.

Keith A. McFarland, vice president of Dynegy's Midwest Region Operations, will represent his company.

Tadas Kicielinski, general vice president of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Iron Workers, will serve as the Iron Workers Union representative on the council.

Charles (Chuck) V. Poettker, CEO and president of Poettker Construction, will represent his company.

Kevin M. Nowak has been elected president of the Southern Illinois Association of Health Underwriters for the 2009-2010 term. The Association is a chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He is the owner of the Nowak Insurance Agency.

Keith Moran has formed Moran Economic Development, LLC, a consulting firm which assists municipalities and businesses in matters pertaining to tax increment financing, business districts and other economic development programs.

Edward Schuessler, MD, has joined HSHS Medical Group, Inc. and direct perioperative services at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.

He will oversee anesthesiology and other related services at the hospital. He begins his service Nov. 9.
