O'Fallon Township High School salaries were just added to the Public Pay Database, with Superintendent Darcy Benway topping the list at $197,262 last year.

Benway's $5,746 raise between 2016 and 2017 represented more than half of her total salary increase since 2011.

The total school district payroll increased $1.5 million between 2011 and 2017, to a total of $15.1 million last year. The school district reported 402 employees, which remained fairly stable over the years. There was a dip in 2014 to 361 employees.

The Public Pay Database lists government employee salaries, using the Illinois Freedom of Information Act to obtain the data. Salaries have been collected each year since 2011.

The public employee wages published for 2017 include Belleville, O'Fallon, Swansea, Belleville elementary and high school districts, plus the counties of St. Clair, Madison and Monroe.
