Concerts on Saturday in St. Louis have prompted transportation officicals to put in place some special traffic accommodations.
▪ 6th Street from Cole Street to Carr Street is closed through 8 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Carr Street from 6th Street to 7th Street is closed through 8 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Cole Street between 7th and Broadway will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday through 8 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Convention Plaza between 7th and Broadway will be closed from noon Saturday through 1 a.m. Sunday.
Passenger dropoff and pickup will be permitted on the west lane of Broadway, but vehicle standing or parking will be prohibited, Explore St. Louis said.
For those going to the concert, bags larger than 11 by 17 inches, wrapped gifts, cameras with a lens longer than three inches in length, video cameras, laser devices, noisemakers, flashlights, among other items will not be allowed.
Getting to LouFest
Concert-goers will be able to park at any of the 21 free Metro Park-Ride lots in Missouri and Illinois and ride MetroLink to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station, or ride the #1 Gold or #90 Hampton MetroBus routes to reach the station.
The LouFest Shuttle pick-up and drop-off will be located near the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station on the west side of DeBaliviere Avenue, Metro said. Shuttles are scheduled to operate from 11 a.m. to approximately 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, or until the crowds clear each night.
The $3 round-trip tickets for the LouFest shuttle will be available for purchase at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station on both days of the event. Shuttle tickets are not available for purchase in Forest Park.
Regular Metro tickets and passes are not valid on the LouFest Shuttle, and LouFest Shuttle tickets are not valid for regular MetroBus or MetroLink service, Metro said.
