Three arrested in connection with holdup of future Missouri governor’s wife

A day after the wife of Missouri Governor-elect Eric Greitens was robbed near the family’s Central West End residence, three people were in police custody and the Greitenses spoke about what happened.

According to KTVI Fox 2, St. Louis police arrested a 14-year-old, 15-year-old and 19-year-old in connection with the incident. Police said the incident took place about 6:15 p.m. Monday in a parking lot just outside of Café Ventana on West Pine Boulevard, near Vandeventer Avenue. Sheena Greitens allegedly gave the group her cellphone and laptop after one person in the group pointed a gun at her and demanded property.

On Tuesday, Marquay Beard, 19, was charged with two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, according to KMOV.

Sheena Greitens and Eric Greitens addressed the media Tuesday morning. Both praised law enforcement’s efforts, while Eric Greitens pledged to make Missouri a safer place to live.
