Wednesday night is going to be a busy night in the metro-east. Here’s just some of what is going on:

Someone will get to pick a card for a chance at a huge payday

At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night in Nashville, one lucky person will have a 1-in-6 chance of picking the Queen of Hearts and winning $240,000. The drawing is at Amerigan Legion Post 110 at 533 E. Legion St., and more than 500 people are expected to be there for the drawing.

Darius Miles’ belongings up for auction

Former NBA player Darius Miles will have a ton of his belongings up for auction Wednesday night at Belle-Clair Fairgrounds. The auction beings at 5:30 p.m., but the sports memorabilia auction is expected to begin about 7:30 p.m. On the block includes jerseys signed by LeBron James and Larry Bird and a bat signed by fromer Cardinals Mark McGwire.

Bragging rights are the prize of East-Althoff girls game

The Belleville East Lancers and Althoff Crusaders girls basketball teams will take the court at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night at Belleville East High School, 2555 West Boulevard in Belleville. The East girls are coming off a game Tuesday night against their other cross-city rival, the Belleville West Maroons.
