The cost to mail a letter through the United States Postal Service will increase Sunday.
The cost of stamps for 1-ounce letters is going up to 49 cents, from 47 cents.
Other items, however, are staying the same, including postcards at 34 cents and international letters at $1.15.
“Stamp prices have stayed consistent with the average annual rate of inflation since the Postal Service was formed in 1971,” according to the USPS.
