St. Louis County Police officer Blake Snyder, who was killed in the line of duty, was added to the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial on Saturday.
The 33-year-old was shot while responding to a disturbance call in October. He served the St. Louis County Police Department for four years.
A memorial bench for Snyder sits at Maryville Elementary School in Granite City, where his nephew is a student.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth and son Malachi.
Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens spoke during Saturday’s memorial service at the State Capitol about the influence the fallen officers had on others.
“These men and women leave an indelible and lasting impact on our world and the people they come in contact with,” Greitens said. “Their selflessness, their bravery, their integrity, should not only inspire us, but it should give us hope.”
