St. Louis named best baseball city, but Cards fans aren’t surprised

To many, the Cardinals and St. Louis are synonymous.

At least that’s what Fox Sports said when it named St. Louis the top baseball city in North America. Cardinals fans’ enthusiasm topped that of fans in Chicago, Boston and San Francisco.

The fact that St. Louis was ranked the best baseball city didn’t come as a surprise to Cardinals fans. Staking out Ballpark Village even for away games, Cardinals fans are always ready to support their team.

“We have great fans, we have a great stadium, we have a wonderful team and we’re always here to support our team,” said Lisa Hutson, 55, who was watching Wednesday’s game against the Miami Marlins near Ballpark Village. “We’ve always been a baseball town.”

Fox Sports said St. Louisans are “all-in on the Cardinals” and that their loyalty is unquestionable.

What do you think? Did Fox Sports get the list right, or does it need to go back and re-evaluate?
