A man who recently moved to East St. Louis has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
Bobby Perry, 34, has been charged with failing to notify police soon enough that he moved to the area, according to court documents. By law, sex offenders must notify police within three days of establishing residence in a new city.
The charge is a class 3 felony.
He was arrested May 11 by the East St. Louis Police Department.

Perry was convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child, a class C felony, in Wisconsin in 2007. He pleaded guilty to the act.
