Grab some sunscreen, metro-east will see sunny, summer weather this week

Monday should bring clear, sunny skies for metro-east residents with a high hovering around 87 degrees and light breezes throughout the day.

The National Weather Service reported humidity levels at about 84 percent around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Tonight’s low should dip down to about 61, with those light breezes still blowing.

This week’s forecast for the metro-east from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday Night ... Partly cloudy, with a low around 66 degrees. South wind 8 to 10 mph.

Wednesday ... A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 83 degrees. South wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Wednesday Night ... A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67 degrees.

Thursday ... Mostly sunny, with a high near 87 degrees.
