Saint Louis University freshman charged with rape on campus

A Saint Louis University student has been charged with the rape of a woman on campus, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Colten Bonk, 19, was charged Sunday with rape/attempted rape, two counts of felony domestic assault and sodomy/attempted sodomy. Bonk is listed in SLU’s student directory as a freshman in the business school.

Police told the Post-Dispatch a 20-year-old woman went to Saint Louis University Hospital for treatment Saturday after she said she was sexually assaulted at her residence hall on campus by Bonk. The woman told police Bonk choked her, bit her face and lips and ripped her hair from her scalp before he forced her to have sex with him, the Post-Dispatch reported.

The woman suffered bruises on her legs, arms and face, according to the Post-Dispatch.

St. Louis police arrested Bonk. His bail was set at $75,000.
