One of Belleville’s biggest annual events kicks off Friday and lasts through the weekend, attracting thousands of visitors to the city’s Public Square.

Those planning to attend the fine parts show should plan for parking and road closures, and be prepared for a forecast of wet weather for Friday and Saturday.

The art fair is open 5-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Here’s a detailed schedule of events, musical performances and art demonstrations each day.

Main Street and North Illinois Street will be closed one block in each direction from the square. North Illinois Street will be closed from Washington Street to A Street. West Main will be closed from High Street to First Street.

Free parking is available all weekend at the county courthouse parking garage on First Street. Parking lots behind the Lincoln Theater, Ben’s and other downtown locations will be open to the public.

A shuttle bus will run from the Belleville Scheel Street MetroLink station to the festival starting 10 minutes before opening time each day. The shuttle will run round-trips every 15 minutes throughout the day. The final trip each evening will leave from Main Street at Jackson Street 20 minutes after the day’s events are scheduled to stop.

Tour guides will be available on the shuttle.

Shuttle hours of operation are as follows:

▪  5 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 15

▪  10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16

▪  11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17
