A Belleville man charged with three counts of aggravated arson was found not guilty Monday.
Melvin Weston Jr., 64, was initially arrested in December 2015 on charges of aggravated arson while knowing people were present in an apartment complex.
In January, Weston waived his right to a trial by jury, instead opting for a judge to decide his fate. Judge Zina R. Cruse found him not guilty because there was not enough evidence to convict him.
