Amtrak train from Chicago to St. Louis delayed 10 hours

An Amtrak train on its way from Chicago to St. Louis was delayed by about 10 hours Tuesday, KMOV reported.

The train left Chicago at 11:45 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in St. Louis at 5:21 p.m., but the train did not pull into St. Louis until 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

An Amtrak spokeswoman told KMOV the train was on a “routine” re-route adding about two hours to the trip when it encountered a disabled freight train in Tuscola.
