Man accused of kicking girl, taking her phone so she couldn’t report it

An O’Fallon man has been charged with three counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

Christopher A. Douglas, 21, allegedly kicked a minor in the leg, punched her in the arm and then took her phone to try to prevent her from calling the police on May 25, according to court reports.

Douglas is also charged with allegedly punching a woman he lives with in the face with a closed fist.

The three domestic battery charges are Class 4 felonies, and the interference with reporting charge is a Class A misdemeanor.

Douglas was also found guilty of two previous misdemeanor domestic battery charges in 2014.

His first appearance in court for the new charges is June 2.
